i just purchase a 15x48 allweld boat(short transom), but the guy befor me added a splash guard on the top of the transom bc his gtr35 (older model) was getting water in the boat.. and my question is what is the width of a new gt 23 transom mount. so i make sure it will fit in the old slot where he had his motor?

Call Gator-Tail and ask them...

Also the splash guard works but also cheaper & more effective is your throttle control you just have to learn to slow down slow so the water doesn't come over the back. Most rigs don't have this issue the lower transoms boats do no matter what motor you slap on the back.

thanks for the tip.. its also a ribbed bottom so if i need to stop fast i can just turn sharp ;p
